During an exclusive interview with Arise TV, Gov. Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, disclosed the origin of the name Jackson on his passport. He revealed that his mother named him Ifeanyi because she’s Igbo, while his father gave him three names. He explained that he did not use Ifeanyi on his passport because only three names are required on it.
Gov. Adeleke further stated that he was a well-known dancer, emphasising how he once won a dance competition during the era of Michael Jackson. He revealed that they started calling him Jackson from then, and he however added it to his name.
According to him, “My father gave me names at my birth: Ademola, Nurudeen, and Adeleke. My mom gave me Ifeanyi because my mother is Igbo, but you can only use three in your passport. So, in my passport now I have Ademola Jackson Adeleke.”
