Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, experienced a destructive explosion on Tuesday night, leaving a trail of destruction in government offices at the State Secretariat Agodi Ibadan.
The aftermath of the explosion revealed shattered glasses, forced-down ceilings, damaged doors, and computers in the State Secretariat. Distressed staff members, unable to use their offices, were seen gathered in groups discussing the unfortunate incident.
According to Vanguard, extensive damages were discovered and offices affected included the Governor’s Office, Governor’s media office, Water Cooperation Building housing other ministries, the State Secretariat Central Mosque, Secretariat Chapel, Revenue House, the newly built Local Government Service House, and the Local Government Staff Training School.
Also, an anonymous staff member from the office, expressed deep concern about the incident, hoping that the affected property would soon be fixed by the state government
